I love this ceramic piece of Anna and Elsa skating.
Shanghai Disneyland! This is probably the most magical place in all of China! Disney’s opening of their new Shanghai location was a huge success and it’s really all Alex and I wanted to see while we were porting out of Shanghai. The magical kingdom was located about 30 minutes away from the cruise terminal, that’s if you don’t get bombarded with the Chinese traffic, and yup, we hit all the traffic. An hour later we arrived. We were so excited! Seriously like kids again. When you arrive there is a long entrance ramp, yet luckily there is a Starbucks at the end of the ramp where I much needed a snack and an iced tea. Once you get past the ramp there is a security check line, and that’s another long wait in the sun! We visited in April so it wasn’t too hot, but still, I’m so surprised that part of the park isn’t covered. Once you get past security there is yet again another line to get your tickets! And let me tell you, I would say every kid in China was there the same day as us! We didn’t purchase our tickets online, but I don’t think it would’ve made a difference. Once you get your tickets you’re in the final main entrance line. This line goes by kind of quickly, but once your past those gates you’re smiling. I was so happy to be there. All the colours, the Disney magic, everything, it really was the best three hours! Sadly we didn’t go on any rides because the line for a ride was 165 minutes long, and with our short port time, and the distance back the terminal there was no way, but at least we got to explore the Magical Kingdom! We bought a magnet as a souvenir and ate pizza for lunch. I hope to go back one day in the future, and lucky for me I only have the California Disneyland to visit! I’m sure I’ll get that checked off the bucket list in a few years. Until then, a dream is a wish your heart makes!
